Creep and strain burst in indium and aluminium during nanoindentation

摘要
Nanoindentation experiments indicate that in Al, no creep takes place before a strain burst occurs, but creep occurs as soon as a strain burst appears. In indium, creep can take place before or after strain burst, and the measured stress exponents suggest diffusional creep before strain burst and dislocation creep after.
