摘要
The potential distribution adjacent to and under a small drop of NaCl containing phenolphthalein and potassium ferricyanide placed on carbon steel has been determined using a scanning Kelvin probe. Most of the potential drop providing the driving force for dissolution in the center of the drop occurred in thin electrolyte layers adjacent to the drop. Similar results have been obtained in NaCl free of additives and in NaClO4.
