摘要
Nonlinear limiters may protect optical sensors against pulsed lasers of any wavelength. New nonlinear materials have been produced, offering increased nonlinear sensitivity and reduced visual loss. Particle suspensions, macrocyclic dyes, and two-photon absorbers are particularly promising. Issues surrounding incorporation into optical systems are under study.
