摘要
The relative effects of the higher-order bottom terms in the extended refraction-diffraction model were evaluated using a numerical experiment of wave transformation over a circular shoal. The curvature term was found to always reduce the wave height amplification behind the shoal, whereas the squared bottom slope term might slightly reduce or increase the wave height. This is explained by the fact that waves with different local wave numbers have different refractive focusing.
