摘要
The paper describes the use of abductive networks to monitor the electrical discharge machining (EDM) process.-The voltage and current across the gap between the tool and workpiece are fed into the developed networks for the recognition of various pulse types in EDM in a ''winner-take-all'' fashion. Experimental results have shown that EDM pulses can be clearly classified even with different machining conditions. Hence,a reliable technique has been developed to monitor the EDM process.
