Effect of drying conditions on mesoporosity of carbon precursors prepared by sol-gel polycondensation and freeze drying

摘要
The effect of drying conditions on mesoporosity of carbon precursors was discussed. The precursors, called RF cryogels, were prepared by sol-gel polycondensation and freeze drying processes. The porous properties of these cryogels were determined by the N2 adsorption method. The temperature of 263 K for 1 day was found to be a sufficient drying condition to minimize the shrinkage of the hydrogels during freeze drying.
