Nd:YVO4 crystal growth by the floating zone method

摘要
NdYVO4 crystals were successfully grown using the floating zone method. The crystal was grown from a V2O5 excess feed rod in oxygen atmosphere. Single crystals with good optical qualities and without inclusions, voids and growth striations were obtained with a series of Nd3+ concentrations. The light-light conversion efficiency of a diode laser-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser was up to 46%.
