Immersion ultrasonic method to measure elastic constants and anisotropic attenuation in polymer-matrix and fiber-reinforced composite materials

摘要
We study attenuation phenomena in composite materials, by the attenuation comparison of a polymer matrix with a composite constituted with the same polymer matrix reinforced with long fibers. Results of attenuation measurements are presented on both the polymer matrix and the unidirectional fiber-reinforced composite. These results are then compared with those of a micromechanics model.
