摘要
A polymer waveguide thermooptic (2x2) switch is reported. It exhibits very low polarisation independent crosstalk of <-40dB for either switching state with only 3mW ('cross' state) and 20mW ('bar' state) electrical power consumption at lambda = 1.55 mu m. Based on this switching element, a (4x4) switching matrix with a crosstalk of <-30dB was fabricated.
