Microwave-assisted crystallization inclusion of coumarin and azo dyes in AlPO4-5 molecular sieves

摘要
Hydrothermally unstable chromophores, like the azo dyes Basic Blue 159 and Basic Red 18:1 or the coumarin dye Basic Yellow 40, are monomolecularly encapsulated in a AIPO(4)-5 molecular sieve by microwave-assisted crystallization inclusion. The incorporation of the labile molecules without degradation is attributed to the drastic decrease of the crystallization time by one order of magnitude. The encapsulated dyes exhibit inhomogenous broadening of the characteristic u.v./vis bands due to host-guest interactions. (C) Elsevier Science Inc. 1997.
