摘要
The study of the genetics of head and neck cancer has led to the identification of many genes that alter cellular growth and determine tumor behavior. An improved understanding of the genetic mechanisms that underlie tumor development, progression, and treatment response will lead to identification of more accurate predictive markers for treatment response and prognostic markers for survival. Much attention has been directed toward F53, which plays a central role in head and neck carcinogenesis. Cell cycle and apoptotic regulation is likely to Flay a critical role in treatment response.
