摘要
We present new results on a single-layer organic alloy light emitting diode. The device shows significant improvement in lifetime at room and elevated temperatures. The improvement is attributed to the elimination of the heterointerface and the minimization of the formation of unstable tris-(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum (Alq(3)) cations. The efficiency is comparable to those of heterojunction counterparts. Balanced bipolar carrier injection and transport are made possible by adjusting the alloy composition and doping.
