摘要
The instance of star-shaped high molar mass (Mn ≥ 10 5) enantiomeric polylactides formation or re-formation of the poly [(R)-lactide]/poly[(S)-lactide] stereocomplex in the melt due to hardlock-type interactions was investigated. The preparation of higher melting, stable polymeric stereocomplexes was based on the high molar mass polylactides. The dried stereocomplexes were separated and washed with methanol and were analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). In star-shaped macromolecules arms forming stereocomplexespredominantlyantly interact in the antiparallel manner because of the fixation of the symmetry of PLA arms in the star structure. The enhanced stability of the stereocomplexes result from the exclusively antiparallel packing provided that antiparallelism gives enhancements of stability.
