New wide-aperture-dimension formula obtained by using a particle swarm optimization for optimum gain pyramidal horns

摘要
A new formula for the wide aperture dimension of a pyramidal horn is presented. It is obtained by using a particle-swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, and is used in successfully, designing optimum-gain pyramidal horns. The computed gains of the designed pyramidal horns are in very good agreement with the desired gains. (c) 2006 Wiley Periodicals. Inc.
