摘要
Atomic diffusion of Fe-59 in icosahedral Al-Cu-Fe alloy has been studied by the sectioning method in the temperature range 568-799 degrees C. Within the accuracy of the method, the volume diffusion coefficient is well described by an Arrhenius law D = D-0 exp (-E-a/kT) with D-0 = 450(-200)(+300) cm(2) s(-1) and E-a = 2.55 +/- 0.05 eV. These values are similar to those measured in other Al-based intermetallic alloys for Fe diffusion and are consistent with a vacancy driven mechanism.
