Evaluation of a commercially available fluorocarbon gas sensor for monitoring air pollutants

摘要
In order to use Figaro-type sensors in an array for environmental control, we have studied a fluorocarbon gas sensor, TGS832. Measurements with a constant gas flow have proven to be more reliable. The study of the sensor time response to R134A forane should be approached by a double exponential, thereby allowing the response measurement time to be reduced. The sensor responses to its target gas and to CO, used as an interfering gas show large differences which can be used to discriminate between the two gases. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
