Fabrication and thermal property of carbon nanotube/SiO2 composites

摘要
The fabrication and thermal property of carbon nanotube/SiO2 composites were discussed. The multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MCNTs) and SiO2 mixture powders were fabricated by rapid sol-gel process and sintered by hot-pressing. It was observed that addition of CNT in SiO2 improves the thermal conductivity. In x-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of CNT and sintered CNT/SiO2 composites, the strongest peak of CNTs was observed in the sintered sample, which indicated that the structure of CNTs did not change after sintering.
