Synthesis, structure and magnetic properties of (NH4)2(C3H12N3)8[V2P2BO12]6•15H2O

摘要
The compound NH4(C3H12N3)(8){NH4 superset of [V2P2BO12]}(6). 15H(2)O (1) was synthesized in single-crystal form by interdiffusion at room temperature of aqueous solutions of (NH4)(17){NH4 superset of [(VO)(2)BP2O10](6)}. nH(2)O and 1,3-diaminopropane. The compound contains a known cluster anion, but unlike the previously reported examples that were synthesized hydrothermally, shows no disorder. Compound 1 crystallizes in space group Pn with Z = 1, a = 13.8684(8), b = 17.492(1), c = 22.500(1) Angstrom, beta = 102.147 degrees and V = 5336.0(5) Angstrom(3). The magnetic data show pairwise antiferromagnetic coupling between vanadium(IV) atoms and were fitted by using a modified dimer-exchange model.
