摘要
The charge and mass transition matrix elements of the neutron-rich isotopes Mg-30,Mg-32 have been extracted from inelastic scattering on Pb-208 and C-12 targets at 32 A MeV. The measured inelastic cross sections for the first 2(+) states were compared to coupled-channels calculations, which take into account the feeding from higher excited states. The method was tested with Mg-24 inelastic scattering data obtained in the same experiment. In the framework of the rotational model, the charge and mass deformations are identical and large (\ beta \ similar to 0.5-0.6) for both isotopes. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
