摘要
The influence of a pre-anneal on the yield stress peak of Al-rich gamma -TiAl is demonstrated by arranging the available experimental data according to sample thermal history. The analysis is complemented by dedicated deformation tests and by microstructural observations. It is shown that mechanical properties may be markedly obscured by precipitation of interstitial atoms and, to a lesser extent, by the Ti3Al5 short-range ordered phase.
