摘要
New trivalent cationic conductors with NASICON-type structure. R1/3Zr2(PO4)(3) (R: rare earths), were prepared by a sol-gel method and the trivalent ionic conducting properties were investigated. As increasing the R3+ radius, the lattice expanded and the conductivity decreased. The Sc1/3Zr2(PO4)(3) which contained the smallest trivalent cation in the rare earth series, Sc3+, showed the highest conductivity among the R1/3Zr2(PO4)(3) as expected from relationship between the migrating cation size and the lattice volume. The trivalent Sc3+ ion conduction in the Sc1/3Zr2(PO4)(3) solid electrolyte was directly demonstrated by a de electrolysis. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
