摘要
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common sustained cardiac arrhythmia.(14,23) It is also the most common form of cardiac arrhythmia physicians must manage in the emergency department (ED). The adverse consequences of AF include loss of atrial contribution to the cardiac output, rapid and irregular ventricular rate, and the risk of thromboembolism. It has been shown that AF is associated not only with increased morbidity but also increased mortality.(18,40).
