A vortex-flame interaction study using four-wave mixing techniques

摘要
Temperature and NO concentration can change dramatically during a vortex-flame interaction. In this paper, a vertically mounted buoyant hydrogen-nitrogen jet diffusion flame is used to study vortex-flame interaction. Single shot measurements of temperature by Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering (CARS) and of NO concentration by Degenerate Four Wave Mixing (DFWM) are used to investigate the temporal and spatial evolution of the flame. The results are compared with theoretical predictions. Temperature and mole fraction are presented in two-dimensional maps. Experimental and theoretical results are in excellent agreement.
