Complex glucose oxidase membranes have been prepared by an improved method. Glucose oxidase is immobilized on cellulose acetate membranes through covalent-cross linking process with glutaraldehyde and Bovine serum albumin. The factors of influencing the complex glucose oxidase membrane such as pH, temperature, buffer concentration have been investigated. The complex glucose oxidase membrane displays good performance that has the potential to be used in fiber optic glucose sensor based on the fluorescence quenching.
