摘要
Within the past year the importance of heterogeneous nucleation in bone mineralization has been revealed by studies from different fields of calcified tissue research. These new insights into the inorganic phase and into control of the nucleation process by bone extracelllular organic components could generate new pathways for the development of bone biomaterials.
