Comparative phytochemistry of Picramnia and Alvaradoa, genera of the newly established family Picramniaceae

摘要
The structures of the secondary metabolites, including fatty acids, of the genera Picramnia and Alvaradoa (Picramniaceae) are surveyed. Neither the fatty acid profiles nor the structures of the anthraquinones and sugar linked anthracenone derivatives characteristic of both genera indicate close relationships between the Picramniaceae and any other known families.
