摘要
Transmission coefficients of periodically perforated conducting plates exhibit single/compound resonances with amplitudes and bandwidths that strongly depend on the unit cell hole distribution. A qualitative model that permits manipulating these plates' dispersion relations and transmission coefficient for near-normal incidence through proper selection of the unit cell hole distribution's first two Fourier components is presented. The proposed structure and model can be used to design periodic grating filters and leaky wave antennas.
