Systemic mycoses represent significant disease in dogs and cats. This article reviews important features of common systemic fungal diseases, comparing and contrasting pathogenesis, clinical signs, diagnosis, and treatment. Antifungal therapeutics, including amphotericin B, liposomal amphotericin B, and azole antibiotics, are discussed.
