Subversion of the MHC class I antigen-presentation pathway by adenoviruses and herpes simplex viruses

摘要
Complete elimination of viruses by the immune system often requires efficient lysis of infected cells by cytotoxic T cells (CTLs). It is therefore not surprising that persistent viruses have evolved sophisticated mechanisms to escape CTL recognition. One strategy followed by adenoviruses and herpes simplex viruses is to subvert antigen presentation by major histocompatibility complex class I molecules.
