Hardness of electrodeposited microcrystalline and nanocrystalline γ-phase Zn-Ni alloys

摘要
Zn-Ni alloy coatings were synthesized by pulsed current electrodeposition from a chloride-based electrolytes. The hardness of ultrafine-grained single gamma-phase Zn-Ni alloy electrodeposits was examined. It was observed that the predominant hardening mechanism was not linked to grain size.
