CuBi7I19(C4H8O3H)3(C4H8O3H2), a novel complex bismuth iodide containing one-dimensional [CuBi5I19]3- chains

摘要
The preparation and crystal structure of the novel complex bismuth iodide CuBi7I19 (C4H8O3H)3 (C4H8O3H2) is reported. By reaction of CuI and BiI3 in diethylene glycol, the compound is prepared at comparably low temperatures (140°C). The crystal structure can be subdivided into one-dimensional anionic [CuBi5I19]3- chains along [101] and [Bi2 (C4H8O3H2)3 (C4H8O3H2)]3+ cations.
