摘要
Rapid and efficient sorting is important for progenitor cell isolation. Therefore, we have built and evaluated a high-speed, continuous flow, quadrupole magnetic sorter. The cross-over behavior of non-magnetic particles, combined with separation theory is used to optimize performance. CD34 + progenitor cells are separated to purities from 64-95% and a throughput of 10(7) cells/s. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
