On John Nash's crumpled surface

摘要
The paper draws some fundamental connections between Nash's embedding theorem and high-energy particle physics and cosmology. In this context, we show the relevance of Nash's surface to fractal and chaotic spaces and touch upon the role these objects play in various scientific fields. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science Ltd.
