摘要
This paper examines the replacement of insulating liquid, where up to about 10% of the old liquid remaining may diffuse slowly during operation and mix together. Reported are the procedures and preliminary tests related to the retrofilling of a perchlorethylene-based fluid (Transclene™) filled transformer. This study aims to find insulating liquids with less environmental risks but of almost similar electrical and thermal properties. Specifically, a mineral oil and an ester liquid were investigated. To examine long-term effects, the investigations were performed on new samples as well as on samples subjected to severe ageing conditions.
