摘要
An FRPA investigation of a forest recession episode involving the growth of cereals is examined. It forms part of the sequence of multi-profile analyses at North Gill in north-east Yorkshire. The dating of the events is uncertain due to non-sequential radiocarbon dates so the phenomena are discussed in terms of their ecological interest, with each 1 mm sample representing approximately 6 years' pollen rain. The most interesting finding is the apparent growing of the cereals after the main period of management of the opening. (C) 1996 Academic Press Limited
