摘要
The paper clarifies the relationship between the thermoelastic constant of an isotropic material and the Gruneisen parameter of the material and explores the significance of the relationship with regard to the choice of materials for use in (i) the thermoelastic stress analysis of models in the design/development of new prototypes, (ii) a recently developed form of thermoelastic strain gauge and (iii) the enhancement of the thermoelastic response by coating the stressed body.
