Interplay between strength of disorder and the measure of chaos in the propagation of carriers

摘要
We have studied the propagation of carriers in a one-dimensional chaotic system for which we can have a measure of the chaos through the Lyapunov exponent. We have determined different regimes of propagation for the different chaotic systems. The model here considered lies in a class intermediate between the quasiperiodic and the complete stochastic ones. The on-site energies epsilon(n) follow the map: y(n+1)=mu y(n)(1-y(n)) and epsilon(n)=epsilon(0)y(n). We have constructed a ''phase transition'' diagram in the two-parameters space (mu,epsilon(0)). We were able to characterize the different regimes of propagation (ballistic, superdiffusive, diffusive, etc.) by the bifurcations in the diagram.
