摘要：

Imaging of the skeleton with a variety of modalities plays a critical role in the documentation of child abuse. Skeletal injuries can be grouped according to their relative specificity for abuse. Long bone injuries, rib fractures, and skull fractures predominate in abused children, whereas other rarer skeletal injuries may be highly specific for abuse. Familiarity with differential diagnoses and normal variants and optimal imaging strategies are essential for accurately diagnosing abuse.
