Synthesis and characterization of V2O5-doped SnO2 nanocrystallites for oxygen-sensing properties

摘要
V2O5-doped SnO2 nanocrystalline powders were synthesized by the coprecipitation method from vanadium (V) oxytrichloride and tin (IV) chloride. The best reactive conditions were determined, such as the concentration of the reactants, pH value, surfactants, amount Of V2O5 doped, reaction temperature, and time. The particle size is in the range from 5.2 to 6.5 nm. It decreases with increasing amounts of doping V2O5. The morphology Of V2O5-doped SnO2 nanocrystalline powders is spherical, and the distribution of particle size is uniform as seen from transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
