摘要
A generalization of the theory of stellar equilibrium is proposed which involves the possibility of local anisotropy (unequal principal stresses) even if the star is formed by an otherwise perfect quid. Using this theory, supermassive stars are studied in the post-Newtonian approximation and it is shown that there are equilibrium configurations with local anisotropy having mass above, or entropy below, the standard limit with local isotropy.
