Ceramic multilayer capacitors (MLCC) with Ni base metal electrodes (BME) have nowadays achieved the standard of MLCCs with noble metal (Pd/Ag) electrodes. One of the greatest problems to be solved at the industrialization of BME capacitors was the suppression of the electrical degradation, caused by the mobility of charged oxygen vacancies.
