Perovskite formation by B-site precursor method and dielectric characteristics of Pb[Mg1/3(Ta,Nb)2/3]O3 ceramic system

Phase-pure perovskite powders of Pb(Mg1/3Ta2/3)O-3-Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O-3(PMT-PMN) system were prepared through a B-site precursor route. Maximum dielectric constants and Curie temperatures (@1 kHz) of PMT and PMN were 8,700 and 20,000 at -85 degrees and -5 degrees C, respectively. Both PMT and PMN showed relaxer behaviors. Diffuse characters of dielectric constant spectra in the paraelectric region were thoroughly explored.
