摘要：
The 1,000 Genomes Project has been launched at an international scale to sequence genomes of 1,000 people. Latest sequencing technologies would be applied to identify genetic variations in people. The genome sequencing would enable scientists to identify regions of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in genetic regions associated with a disease.
