摘要
Organizational commitment research suggests that the changes surrounding acute care employment likely will pose an unfamiliar set of challenges for most nursing leaders who are attempting to maintain commitment levels within themselves and between their staffs and their hospital organizations. Additional research is required to enable nursing leaders to appreciate more fully how the process of forming organizational linkages will be affected within future acute care environments. The manner in which acute care staff nurses and their leadership strive to understand their current or potential levels of commitment toward their organizations probably will demonstrate yet another issue presenting itself for periodic consideration throughout their professional careers.
