A multi-addressable photochromic 1,2-dithienylcyclopentene-phenoxynaphthacene-quinone hybrid

摘要
An all-photon mode multi-addressable photochromic system comprised of covalently united photochromic 1,2-dithienylcyclopentene (DTE) and phenoxynapthacenequinone (PNQ) derivatives was presented. The structure represents the first example of a multi-addressable system where all four states are accessible using light energy as the only stimulus. It is concluded that the photochromic DTE-PNQ hybrid 1ot represents the first quarternary all-photon mode switch.
