摘要
A theory of equilibrium adsorption and adsorption kinetics for polyelectrolytes in solutions onto planar surfaces in the framework of the Arrhenius-Eyring approach and the Lucassen-Reynders convection has been developed. The adsorption of water-soluble polyelectrolytes on silicon wafers was studied by ellipsometry. Equations were derived to calculate: (a) the equilibrium adsorption, (b) the thickness of the adsorbed layer, and (c) the activation energy of the polyelectrolyte adsorption (or the enthalpy of polyelectrolyte adsorption).
