摘要
This paper discusses an approach for the fatigue analysis of spot-welded joints under variable amplitude loading. Two simplified relations, relating the nugget maximum load and metal thickness to the fatigue life of an entire durability schedule, are developed. A computer program is also developed, to predict the fatigue life in blocks of a variable amplitude load history. The program uses the spot-weld nugget rotation from finite element analysis to calculate the fatigue life. The developed computer program is tested using some coupon samples from published experimental results. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
