Oligothiophene-based networks applied for field-effect transistors

摘要
A new type of semiconducting material was prepared, based on oligomeric thiophenes functionalized with acrylate groups that allow for polymerization in the film. In field-effect transistors, a charge-carrier mobility of 10-3 cm2V-1s-1 in air was observed prior to polymerization. Photopolymerization resulted in a loss of mobility by a factor 10 for direct photopatterning of the semiconductor.
