摘要
Voltammetric measurements of conjugated monodisperse thiophenes reveal that the intermediate sigma -dimers, which are formed during electropolymerization, are quite stable. The rate of proton elimination depends on the basicity of the system and slows down with increasing chain length of the oligomers. In the case of endcapped thiophenes, electrochemical data also give evidence of the formation of sigma -dimers.
