Complex-surfactant-assisted hydrothermal route to ferromagnetic nickel nanobelts

摘要
Ferromagnetic metal nanobelts are reported to have been synthesized for the first time in solution by a simple and mild hydrothermal method. The nickel nanobelts (see Figure), which typically had a thickness of similar to15 nm, width of 500-1000 run, and length of up to 50 mum, showed remarkably enhanced ferromagnetic properties. The method is expected to be transferable to other transition metals.
